50 hours? Geez... I know it is 6 hours from central Illinois to the middle of Wisconsin. Though we have done 5 with light traffic.

Hot hot hot hot. Apparently the Great Lakes region and the Northeast are supposed to see relief soon. But not Central Illinois. Damn heat.

drvin' across the usa aint what it used to be....I remember back in '75 we did a trip in an old chrysler...with me, my 2 sisters, mom and dad (and 25 stuffed toys..picked up 5 more on the way)....we started by visiting my bro in north carolina at grad school and then drove up the east coast (we missed delaware somehow) and then into canada and over to niagara falls....back to the usa thru detroit....trip was 3 weeks or so....dang that was so much fun back then....
now, I cant fathom getting into a car for 3 weeks with any kids (or 25 stuffed toys--though they are quiet and dont eat)....and the price of gas, food and lodging

I was gonna say, just the price of gas alone would definitely make it not worth it. So very expensive these days. Sadly people get excited when it drops to the lower $3 range... Which still is not good at all. Like 7 out of the 10 top grossing companies last year were oil companies. Shocking right? Ya not so much.

Yes apparently I have been. Only explanation for why we are boiling again. Though it looks like it is only supposed to be 89 on Friday! Sweet relief! (Not really...)

yeah we had some hit an miss showers today...I missed them (my car couldve had a nice free wash)...I got to drive on damp, then wet, then puddling streets but the storm had already passed (didnt even get to my house at all....though we did have about 5 minutes of light rain--got the deck wet)...
oh well--its definitely summer!

They are still saying possible storms tonight and earlier this afternoon it looked like rain. But nope. Not so much. Maybe tonight...

Welp spent the day at my parents. Had bought the GTA Pack on Steam and was downloading it. Then trying to get GTA IV to work. Had to uninstall my current graphics card in order to install the newest update. Did that and now it works, thank goodness.

had a good storm last night too...and my friend the raccoon returned and destroyed half of my balcony (stuff on it and dumped over plants etc)....so I spent this morning cleaning up

....well it got into my crystal cleaning as well--so if there is a dead one around that wasnt hit by a car, I will know why (the stuff is poison! I have been cleaning rust off of my crystals with it)...and yes, it was covered with a big rock on top---which was knocked off...
thing is, they didnt eat any of my herbs, just dug them up (though they didnt even touch the oregano pot...guess its not tasty??)....oh well, guess that nap will have to wait

FÙCK YEAH!, finally got a good doctor! finally, 'm so damn friggin happy now, she took her time to get to know me and such, and was polite and all, so very nice, i am very happy now.

We got rain like every day for the past 3 weeks now :P

spent my morning cleaning my balcony

....but dont have to water my plants, have to re-pot them! (and spread some nasty black pepper and cayenne pepper around so that my friends may think twice about any 'bounty' my balcony has to offer!)

Was reading the news today about the shooting in colorado. talking about how 50 people were hurt including people in the military---just wondering...are people in the military somehow better than us regular tax payers?....always think its strange when I read those things.....

anyways....no coons last night...hope it stays that way.

I did not see that part. I saw that there were children that were shot and that is awful. A sick individual is the only one who would do that... Just an awful thing to happen. Also on GW2Guru there is a thread about it, some asshat comes in and says that he lived in Denver and that Aurora is a dump. In a thread that is there to allow us to post our condolences... Really wish I was a mod over there. I'd delete that post super quick and slap him with an infraction... Some people are extremely insensitive to others.

Damn crickets. Sounds like I'm gonna have to go cricket hunting tonight in my beardies cage since he didn't eat all his crickets. Now they think they can chirp freely in my apartment. Don't think so...

yeah---but I think some good is going to come out of it, they are talking about gun laws and such...so maybe stricter laws will keep guns out of sicko peoples hands...we can hope.

I've actually had a good day. The only damper was those damn crickets, but I got them out. I actually spent a good portion of the day catching up with an old high school buddy (damn that makes me sound old...). Went out to lunch with him and then went and played tennis. Was a good time.

Dansamy (mod in the MI over there) took care of the post. Don't know if he got an infraction but the post is gone. Kudos to those mods.

Nah, I don't feel a need to mod over there, and they just put on some new MI guys. I'd only mod the MI, no where else. So ya, oh well.

Beta has been meh. Played for an hour or so. Wasn't horribly impressed to be completely honest.

I played in the last beta..and it messed my computer up (2 day later I got a blue screen--) so yeah, wasnt impressed either. Got enough to do with the current game, no need to get another (and hubby cant play it at all).

and me either---havent even logged in there for months.
